Closed Circulating Water Heat Exchanger (CCW) is mainly used for the cooling of closed circulation water in power plants. The closed circulating cooling water is cooled by the open water and then provides cooling water to the power plant equipment of the closed cooling system.
Design standards: ASME VIII-1, TEMA, GB150/151, tube and shell structure is generally adopted.
HTRI was used for thermodynamic calculation, PV-elite/SW6 for regular strength calculation, and ANSYS for stress analysis of special structures.
Closed circulation cooling water generally goes through shell side, open cooling water goes through pipe side
Closed circulation cooling water heat exchanger interface general Settings: pipe/shell side fluid inlet and outlet; Tube/shell side relief valve interface;Pipe/shell side exhaust and drain interface; Temperature and pressure measuring port at fluid inlet and outlet on pipe/shell side
Heat exchange tube material generally is determined by the open cooling water, common for SS304/316, however the titanium tube is selected when the cooling water is seawater.
