Fujairah F3 is a contract to build a 2,400 MW(3*800MW)combined cycle power plant in Fujairah with Samsung C&T as the EPC, MHPS to supply the gas turbine and Doosan to provide the steam turbine. AD Power and MARUBENI with headquarter located at Japan set up a consortium to enjoy 60% and 40% of the share respectively.
This project encompassed world-renowned investors, EPCs and suppliers in power industry, and will turn into the biggest independent power plant serving as a steady source of power for 380,000 homes in the northern region of the UAE..
While attending the contract signing ceremony in February 2020, AD Power CEO Thabet said: Our ambition is to transform Abu Dhabi’s water and electricity sector into a reliable, efficient, sustainable and value-generating system that optimises our robust portfolio of assets and creates unique partnership opportunities.
The F3 IPP Project represents a significant milestone in this journey, deploying world-class technology and efficiency standards to meet the UAE’s evolving power needs.
This project is of great significance for HGT since it is the first UAE contract and also the first project resulting from our persistent exploration on the cooperation with overseas EPCs in power generation market since year 2016.
Our contact with Samsung C&T and successful registration as qualified vendor was realized in year 2016. Through more than 10 quotations over 4 years, we managed to obtain their approval by the first-time direct surface contract from Korea for Fujairah F3 IPP project. It laid a solid foundation for the further cooperation and also featured a milestone of HGT on EPC and overseas market development.
Taking it as a new page for the development of new markets and customers, persistent efforts will be paid for the realization of our mission to be the best solution of turbomachinery worldwide.
