Uzbekistan's Talimarjan Phase II project is to expand a 900MW CCGT power plant on the site of the original Phase I gas power station. It is jointly invested by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Uzbekistan Reconstruction and Development Fund and is expected to be put into operation in 2025.
During the project bidding stage, the company received inquiries from three EPCs: Calik, Samsung C&T, and Hyundai Engineering, Calik eventually won the EPC bidding. In this project, Mitsubishi supplied two M701F gas turbines and two steam turbines, and HGT provided water cooled condensers for them. This was also the first indirect collaboration between HGT and Mitsubishi in the power generation project.
The Talimarjan II project is of great significance to HGT. Not only has it successfully developed the new customer in Turkey, but it has also once again won a overseas large-scale power generation project after the F3-3 X 800MW large-scale power generation project in the United Arab Emirates.
Calik Enerji has developed rapidly in recent years, with the latest ENR ranking of 117th, up 40 places from last year. HGT has established contact with Calik Enerji since 2021, and has always adhered to the service concept of creating value for customers. After more than 3 years of continuous communication and quotations for more than ten projects, this project, HGT successfully stood out among local and European auxiliary equipment suppliers and reached direct collaboration with Calik Enerji.
Purchasing Director of Calik Enerji, Mr. Bukent Ocal highly affirmed HGT and hoped that both parties would benefit from each other in future collaboration and work together to promote the progress of the project.
