Recently, Mr. Changhun Woo, Procurement Director of Samsung E&A's headquarters in South Korea, along with his delegation, visited the HGT facility for an inspection. During the visit, the Samsung E&A team outlined the project's background and specific challenges, requesting enhanced support from HGT. Following high-level communication between the two parties, Samsung E&A provided HGT with a Right of First Refusal (RoFR) letter. This signifies that if Samsung E&A is awarded the contract, HGT will be given priority as the supplier for the air coolers. Should this occur, it will mark the inaugural cooperation between the two companies in the field of air coolers.

Collaboration History

Looking back at the collaborative project (RLPP) between HGT and Samsung E&A, the initial partnership required a period of adjustment, leading to some challenges during the project execution phase. However, through the continuous efforts of the HGT team, the products were ultimately delivered on time and met all quality standards, earning unanimous praise from Samsung E&A. This success further propelled HGT’s expansion into the international market.

Recently, HGT and Samsung E&A have secured their second collaboration—the Taziz project in the UAE. Mr. Changhun Woo, Procurement Director of Samsung E&A, expressed his hope that HGT will provide its strongest support and continue to deliver high-quality products and services.

Future Oppotunities

During the meeting, the Samsung E&A team also shared potential inquiries in the waste-to-energy sector in the Middle East. If they are awarded the UAE waste-to-energy project, it will help further penetrate the Middle East market and provide HGT with more collaboration opportunities. Both parties look forward to establishing a long-term partnership.
