Last month, HGT had been awarded by Baker Hughes on surface condenser contract, and responsible for the design, manufacture and site service. The condenser will be devoted to the hydrogen compressor unit which as the key part of the HCU(Hydrocracker Unit) module for the upgrade of CILACAP, which is the largest oil refinery located on Java, and operated by PT Pertamina(Persero), Indonesia oil national company.
During the six months of project negotiation, all departments of our company cooperated closely and had in-depth exchanges with each other on various details. After several technical clarifications, we finally stood out from numerous competitors in Europe and America and successfully won the contract.
PT PERTAMINA is the largest oil company in Indonesia and a Fortune 500 company. Since its inception, PT Pertamina has been the flagship company in Indonesia's petrochemical industry. Prior to the upgrade, PT Pertamina's crude oil processing capacity was 260 MBSD, its fuel market share was 15.6%. The upgrade is planned to increase crude oil processing capacity to 360 MBSD and enable the production of Euro-5 standard fuels, which has strategic implications in reducing Indonesia's import demand for clean petroleum products.
